So some of you might be asking- where did Jessica go to? Did she drop off the face of the earth? I haven’t heard from her in almost two weeks. Well I went to Colorado with my family for a family reunion. I was staying at my Great Grandmother’s house so therefore no internet connection. So now here is our trip in blog form! I hope you enjoy! Oh also for the most part if it doesn’t have my logo look for the info on who took it, either Daniel my husband or Joe my brother. Daniel took some really AMAZING snow pictures that if you want to have one printed let me know and we can work something out :)

The photo above was taken by my husband Daniel: the cool thing is if you look on my cap you can see the individual snowflakes, I loved looking

at the individual snowflakes on my black jacket! They really do look like everyone draws them on cards and wrapping paper etc. So pretty!

Photo by my bro- Joe Wright, good job! :)

My Dad riding down a slope in the front yard of my Aunt’s house to show Bella how to slide :)

Bella gives it a try and loves it!

Photo taken by my brother Joe Wright. From left- Daniel, Bella and me.

Photo taken by my brother Joe Wright. From left- Daniel, Bella and me.

Bella and Joe went down the hill together and Joe held onto her like a GOOOOOD uncle! Halfway down the hill he came off the sled!

Bella laying in the snow after her big run on the “mountain” hill.

Sophie and Bella playing in the snow (Sophie is a 2nd cousin of mine so 3rd to Bella? I don’t know but she is cute! Although I think Bella wasn’t

old enough/cool enough to play with Sophie most of the time :) It gave Bella a chance to learn that not EVERY little kid will want to play

with you all the time.

Boy band photo of my family- starting left going right, Dad, brother Joe, Daniel hubs. Oh and Bella being pulled on the sled behind Joe (hiding).

Daniel tubing down a hill at the Reunion and hitting an unexpected bump! :)

Daniel and me sledding down a hill at my family Reunion- good times!

We took my 2nd Cousin Randy’s truck back because we didn’t feel like walking uphill both ways in the snow! :)

Nothing like hot chocolate after a day of SNOW!

The top photo: My Aunt Debbie told Bella that the dinosaurs were tickling each other :) .

Daniel cowering in “Terror” from the dino bones!

We went to Old Arvada’s Gluten Free bakery- Rheiander it was AMAZING!!

They had a gluten free chocolate covered twinkie that was AMAZING!!

We got cakes to celebrate my Mom and Daniel’s birthday which are both in Dec.

Later we celebrated my Dad’s b-day too! December is BUSY for us! :)

“Meaty” my cousin Ross and his fiance Jillian’s English bulldog- he was so cute! And REALLY LOVED me! :) So much that he wanted me to

have his puppies! :)

Bella’s first time to bowl! Everytime we go to Colorado for Christmas we go bowling on Christmas Eve.

I kind of like that tradition! Bella LOVED it! She had a lot of fun!

Driving with a three year old is fun! Especially when your husband is sitting on the arm

rest/console for an hour since there is a TON of luggage in the back.

One hour drive like this what else am I going to do to pass the time- HELLO! :)

We had to drive to the other part of Denver to visit the other side of the family.

Bella coloring with my great grandma- her great great grandma!!!

My brother Joe reading an Elmo book to Bella since we couldn’t figure out how to work the tv. Which was awesome! :)

Bella eating cheesecake from my Dad’s b-day party! GREAT ribs Dad! We should open a restruant! :)

This was an AMAZING wedding! It was beautiful all the personal touches that Hannah included! The flowers were breathtaking! The venue- Villa Antonia, was spectacular as usual! All adding up to a recipe for an AMAZING wedding! Oh and the band- I can’t think of their name (will someone email me to remind me who these guys are), was show stopping! Oh but then the GROOM got up with his band (I think from when he was in college) and the ROCKED our FACES OFF! Litterally! EVERYONE was dancing and sweet little ladies where holding up tea lights to try to get them to do an encore! It was so hopping that they had to leave the door open to cool the place off even thought it was FREEZING outside! Also best of all you could tell these two were in love and so excited to be married! It was so sweet the friendship and love they share! I know I am using a lot of exclamation marks but really that is how I felt about this wedding! :) BEST WISHES Hannah and Derrik!

Hannah was a “Sundancer” at Westwood Highschool (the highschool I graduated from and attended for 4 LONG years! :) which they would do routines during the halftime and at pep ralleys they did some pretty awesome moves! Well all that to say that Hannah LOVES to dance! So of course her and her dad did a coreographed routine to the song My Girl. It was ADORABLE! This was them (above) practicing that morning!

Hannah’s Dad rented Father of the Bride, Bride Wars and CoCo Chanel (he picked them out! I know what a GREAT Dad!) for them to watch as they got ready. I got teary eyed seeing parts of Father of the Bride :) (So did her dad, I didn’t tell you that :) ) Doesn’t her dad resemble Steve Martin?? In a good way :)

Hannah’s friend/personal assistant for the day (EVERY BRIDE NEEDS a friend to do this- BEYOND  the maid of honor, it is another friend who makes sure you have water, your dress gets bustled, helps you to chill out before you walk down the aisle :)

AHMAZING! Need I say more about the FANTASTICALLY AMAZING wedding flowers! They popped so well against the gold sheen of the bridesmaid’s dresses!

Hannah trying to warm up the flower girl :) Cracking jokes to get her to relax, she is such a sweet person!

Sweet kisses after the formal portraits with all the fam. now they get a sec to absorb the blisfull newness of being newlyweds!

It’s times like this I wish I wasn’t gluten intolerant! It looks so yummy doesn’t it! :)

I LOVE Bestman speeches! They are always sooooo funny! :)

This was the hired band for the night they were awesome! They played just about ANYTHING! AWESOME! Got everyone to dance as you can see below! :)

Here comes the GROOM and his band!

As some people say “Courage juice” :)

Derrik singing for his lady!

Showing support! Dancing QUEEN! :)

Hannah getting Mom and Dad in on the ROCK!

This was a wrapper from a set of drumsticks I thought it was VERY fitting for them. They really are a perfect pair! :)

So here are a couple of DIY ideas for you DIY brides out there. I am on the verge of being finished editing so as photoshop is doing some menial tasks for me I will utilize my time and provide you all with some DIY inspiration :) . The first picture is from Bakerella I thought these cakepops would be a fun new way to provide cake without the usual cake or cupcake alternative. You can get the info on how to make them here… Bakerella

I saw these GORGEOUS aisle candles on Beth Helmstetter’s blog she is out in California. This is such a fun idea! You just need some stumps and pile leaves around the bottom. Then they put down a doily on the top placed more leaves/twigs with leaves ontop then added a candle inside a tall vase/candle holder. Then added some more vases/candle holders around the bottom of the stump- can you say GORGEOUS! Love it!

So this one isn’t a DIY BUT I thought it was an awesome etsy find over at Barking Maddison’s shop! They are custom leather belts! I would LOVE to photograph one of these amazing belts around your man! OR do a ring shot on your favorite words! It would be something unique and something your groom would CHERISH for years to come! Just make sure that you give him space for the honeymoon pounds! :)

So Wednesday night i was SICK! I don’t know how I got it but I lost 15 lbs from being so sick! I went to the Dr. Thursday to see if he could prescribe me some ant-nausea medicine. Because I wasn’t even keeping down water! When I was there they took my blood pressure 4 times! They said that it was VERY low! I normally have a low blood pressure but it was 78/78 average is 120/80! So they told me to go to the ER to get fluids put back into my system since I had lost so much from being so sick. They ened up giving me 2 liters of IV fluids. The nurse said that my body sucked it up pretty quickly. To get the iv put into place I asked for their best “poker” as when I am dehydrated my veins get small and roll (how do I know this? I used to do scientific studies before I amped up my photography buisness- a lot safer! :) . She had a hard time finding a good vein and with me already feeling bad I knew this wasn’t a good combonation. So she gave me a medicine “cocktail” of anti-nausea, pain killer, and soft tissue pain killer (so she could get the needle in). She said my blood was THICK and not flowing properly so she could tell right away that I NEEDED to be there! About 5 mins. later I was doing AMAZING! She turned off the lights and I was actually able to take a nap! Then I was discharged. Went home and started the process of eating chicken broth and fruit popsicicles.  I am doing much better now, still weak and tired but I am pulling through. Thankfully my husband was able to be with me yesterday during all of that and he has helped nurse me back to health. So all that to say when the flowers have faded and the wedding is in a book, LOVE is what lasts! I don’t know how I would have made it through all that without him!

Ok so I LOOOOVVVEEE weddings! I love the creativity of them and the uniqueness of each one. I look through bridal blogs almost daily so I thought I might as well share these gems with you ladies and gents out there! I love helping my brides enrich their weddings so that it is uniquely yours! I got this DIY progect from the beloved www.designsponge.com It is a summer bouquet that I ADORE! A little insider tip: If you are going truly DIY with your bouquet (Florists don’t kill me cause I LOVE your work!) you can go to Central Market and or Whole foods the day before and pick all the flowers that you love that are in season that they have in stock. We did this for my sister-in-law’s wedding recently and we got all the flowers for bouquets and boutineers for less than $300. BUT you want to make sure that you have a friend or someone that you trust that has put a bouquet together before and or practices putting one together before hand! So with that being said check out this… DIY summer picnic bouquet
