This was such a fun wedding for me it was really short (compared to most weddings I photograph) but very sweet. They were married at the Justice of the Peace the day before so this was pretty much a reception/celebration. It was a night wedding during December thus the moody lighting and fire in the fire places. Oh and a COFFEE BAR!! Awesome! Well it is 5:30 am on Christmas Eve, I think I will head to bed, until next year… Happy Holidays all!

This is one of the things I LOVE LOVE LOVE about Zilker clubhouse, the VIEW!

They had cake balls made in their new last name.

They had a ribbon waving entrance, I LOVE this idea!!

AND Amy’s icecream! Def. went off the diet that night! SHHHH don’t tell my trainer!

Vendors:

Coordination: Stylish Happenings

Catering: Catering with a Twist

Linens: Sweet Sunday Event Rentals

Location: Zilker Clubhouse

Daniel and I have a huge favor to ask, will you please vote for us daily (until Jan. 2nd) for us to win a vow renewal ceremony on top of the empire state building? We are in the top 16 and only 4 couples to experience this so we NEEEEED your votes! You can vote here..http://tinyurl.com/87g8hzu
This would be a DREAM come true for us to renew our vows in New York! There were several things that we wish we could change about our wedding, it was beautiful but we were on a TIGHT budget and so we had to cut back on a lot of the key elements (dress, wedding photographer, cake, food, liquor, band) at our wedding which some aspects came out awesome because they were hand-made. I don’t want to sound ungrateful because it was still one of the memorable days ever and I look forward to sharing the rest of my life with the BEST MAN EVER! We did get something PERFECTLY right at our wedding, we married each other, so it is TOTALLY worth celebrating!

If we win here is what we will win (this is from their website)….

Colin Cowie Designed ceremony and reception featuring Dom Perignon Champagne, Godiva Chocolates, and a designer wedding cake; a designer wedding gown for the bride from the world-famous bridal salon Kleinfeld (home to “Say Yes To The Dress”); formal attire for the groom from Men’s Wearhouse; hair and beauty for the bride from Estee Lauder; hotel accommodations for the winning couples at The Pierre Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights; car service to and from the Empire State Building; wedding photography by Christian Oth Studio.

One week after the weddings each couples’s wedding album will be posted online and the public will vote for their favorite wedding, The couple receiving the most votes will have the chance to win a $100,000 cash prize to start their life off in style.

Here is the video that qualified us for the contest…

So As some of you know I LOOOOOOVE Pinterest, (For those of you who don’t know what this site is all about, GET READY for AMAZINGNESS!!! Basically it is a collection of online style boards you create.  You can look for things all throughout the internet and “pin” them onto your board everything from super fun crafts for kids to inspiration for your wedding!!) You can visit my boards here…Jessica Monnich on Pinterest I have 4151 pins right now and still going so go check them out there are a lot of fun wedding stuff on there too! This website has helped me to come up with fun projects that I am going to be giving my family as Christmas presents. So tonight I was particularly inspired  by this pin… http://pinterest.com/pin/127367495681058619/ and this one…http://pinterest.com/pin/127367495681058624/. I had a tie dye shirt that I didn’t really like the way it looked on me so I threw it into the pile of other tie dye shirts that I had been given to me by a sweet lady that I shop for on occasion (she is parapaleghic, had her legs amputated below her knees from a rare blood disease, THE SWEEEEETEST lady ever!). She gave me the shirts for Bella but they were all a little too big for her and I would have had to hang onto them for at least 10 years before they did. SO instead I cut them into pieces to make her this skirt. The base of the skirt was the shirt that I used to wear, the ruffles are from 4 different shirts the sweet lady gave to me and they are only in the front. I asked Bella if she thought I should make them go all the way around and she thought it was pretty fun that they were only in the front. (Bella thinks I am making it for another little girl, but it is for her, SHHHHHHHHH. She kept asking if she could keep it ;) I also knew she really wanted it when she wouldn’t stop posing for the camera and spinning in it.) So here is the skirt…..

Can’t wait to show you all the other gifts I made for my family for Christmas using the rest of the tie dye shirts (one of which I am going to give the sweet lady that gave the tie dye shirts to me in the first place)!! :)

I met Chelsea and her wonderful family a while back and my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. Chelsea’s husband is my sister-in-law’s cousin, did you follow that? Well went to a fun little field to take their family photos, it was a lot of fun! Congratulations Williams family for the baby on the way! I am sure it will pretty darn cute if their little brother is any evidence of the cuteness the two produce. It was pretty cold outside and at the end the little guy was so cold he started shivering, poor thing, but they got him in the warm car all bundled up! We also met right at the golden hour so towards the end of the session we lost light and I had to bring out my flashes, but I think it is a fun change of pace from everyone else’s bright sunshiny photos. Enjoy….

“She’s out of our hair”- Monster’s Inc HA HA HA HA this is what the photo above reminds me of.
