So I hadn’t met Linsey till the day of her wedding. She booked me online. I was SOOOOO sick that day and hopped up on EVERY over the counter medicine you can think of! Because that is what I do, make sure the job gets done. In fact it was a GOD send wedding! Seriously! It was one of the funnest weddings to photograph! I was laughing the whole time! (And a bonus was that it was only 5 hours long, ONLY because I was sick was that a bonus otherwise I would have loved to continue photographing, but the wedding was over.) The groom was soooo funny! You will see some pretty awesome pics of them together and his super awesome middle finger tattoo! The bride was GORGEOUS and super sweet!! She emailed me the day after ” Can we be friends in real life!?” :) I told her OF COURSE! She was such a fun sweet bride to work with! So here are the photos from this super sweet wedding…

This was a SUPER awesome and sweet wedding! I LOVED the fact that they had a record made for their wedding. Not sure if there was actually music on it, Linsey was there music?? :)

That is the Groom in the left image, with his awesome handlebar mustache! In the image to the right,

they put the record they made for their wedding on a board and had their guests write well wishes. So adorable!

So Linsey picked a bunch of different colors for her bridesmaids to wear and as you can see they pulled it off!!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

Oh Mercury Hall how I love you!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

Man I LOVED Linsey’s feather hair piece. Isn’t she a beautiful bride!?

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

Even grooms need some love from his groomsmen! LOL :)

Man I can’t even type some of the things these guys were saying! :) Hilarious and soooo wrong! :)

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

The Bride gave her bridesmaids vintage handkerchiefs such a cute gift!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

The bride put these fun and GORGEOUS peacock shoe clips on her purple heels! The groomsmen

received flasks as their gift from the groom, Wranglers are the perfect hiding spot for your flask!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

So the image to the right you will see in the photo below that her Dad had a similar pic with his mom when he got

married so he wanted to have a similar photo with his daughter. So precious! You can’t really see it in this size of

image but both Linsey and her Dad are crying as they walk down the aisle. OHHHH, guys don’t do this to me! I get teary eyed behind the lens :)

The image the Father of the Bride wanted to replicate is in the far back corner.

Mustaches for the photobooth? YES! Because the Groom has such a sweet handlebar mustache!

Guests get in on the photo booth lovin!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

So THEY wanted the chalkboard to read “About Damn Time!” Hilarious! This was because they were dating for 10 years! :) TOTAL BFFFFFs!

Austin wedding photographer, Mercury Hall wedding, Rock and Roll wedding, Jessica Monnich Photography

I love how Wes the Groom turned the stick upside down and put it up to his handlebar mustache! HEY he already has one! :)

They had a sweet candy bar with custom stamped muslin candy bags for guests to fill! My assistant was prego

and there was a lot of candy left AND the mother of the bride said “PLEASE take as much as you can!” So what do we do? LOAD UP on candy! :)

Sweet ring shot! LOL literally!

Man I loved their flowers! Soooo pretty!

You know the party is coming to an end when there is one lonely Lone Star beer in the bucket! :)

I think this was a first to have a groom smoke a cigg. during the grand exit! He CRACKS ME UP! :) Best wishes you guys!

Austin wedding at Horseshoe Bay Resort

March 15th, 2011

This was such a fun wedding! The location was GORGEOUS, there were palm trees and lush green grass. It looked like it should have been on the coast of California not in Austin Texas. This couple was a ton of fun as well! They are totally in love. It was so sweet that you could tell that they are best friends in the way they talk to each other and interact with one another. This is such a gooooood quality to have for a lasting marriage (at least so I hear and it has worked for us for 6 years knock on wood)! So another cool thing was that in our original meeting they asked if I would do a morning after session if they paid for me to stay the night. HECK YEAH! Anyone who wants to do that in the future the answer is YES! :) Thanks Gwen and Emanuel it was a lot of fun to stay in a BIG comfy bed. So I will be posting the after pics soon! They were super cute! And since my husband stayed the night with me he met up with us in the middle of the shoot and came up with some great ideas for locations and poses he is so creative too :) . He is my muse! So back to the wedding, they served some pretty amazing food to their guests. They also DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY!! Then the next day Gwen told me that they stayed up later and made smores at the hotel’s fire pit, how fun is that!? Well I would like to say a BIG thanks to Gwen and Emanuel for picking me to photograph your beautiful day!

ABOVE: No I didn’t forget to photoshop her hand, she has a implanted diamond- OWWWWYY!! :) Cute but man did that have to hurt!

I thought this would be a cool shot showing the texture of the wedding dress mixed with the palm tree and the water.

I think this is THE prettiest garter I have EVER seen! It is cute and sweet without being cheesy. She got it at Victoria’s Secret ;) little tip for future brides out there!

So Gwen works at a shoe store so of course she is a SHOE GIRL! MAD PROPS FOR THESE LOVELY LADIES!

These rocks were outside and It thought they would be a interesting and textural backdrop for the flowers.

I loved all the lines on her dress, the bench and the window. I don’t normally turn photos black and white but this one just POPPED when I switched it over.

And visually you can focus on her beauty and how all the lines work together in this shot. (At least “I” think they do) :)

I have a secret trick to make everyone smile and relax a little so they don’t look like deer caught in headlights for formal pics.  :)

Ohhh sooo cute, see what I am talking about? BFFFFFFFFFFs :)

Chicken on a rice pilaf with grilled asparagus, then followed by a frozen strawberry thingy – forgot what it was :)

These were their favors, they were little tins that you filled with candy from the candy bar.

The candy scoops had hearts at the end, too cute!

This was the top of their cake. Gwen LOVES owls if you couldn’t tell :)

at the end of the night took over the dance floor with their crazy antics, hillarious!

BEST WISHES GWEN AND EMANUEL- TO MANY YEARS!

I wanted to let you all know out there that I have partnered with Shootdotedit to be able to get my editing done MUCH quicker without sacrificing the quality! I am soooooo excited! This will be such a FREEDOM for me, my family and my clients! So for photographers out there PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out Shootdotedit! They are such an awesome company and I HIGHLY reccomend them! Can’t wait to show off the speed to my brides!  I will be keeping the 6-8 week return in my contract just in case something goes awry (although Shootdotedit says they are usually able to turn around in 8 days, although I found that it took about a day to upload so most likely the min. would be 9 days for online viewing and then 13-14 days for shipping of the DVD) but then be able to surprise brides by a 2 week return. Also with this being a seperate company and not a friend with kids and a life I can expect the return asap. I tried to outsource to friends and found it difficult to “expect” things back by a certain time. Although they were able to do it I felt like I was stressing them out. Also they are reasonably priced as well. I would have felt guilty paying a friend the amount that I will be paying Shootdotedit but they have the man power and dedicated workers to get the job quickly, efficiently and cost effectivly. Now I can have time to spend with my 4 year old,  homeschool her,  and know that someone is working for me to ensure that my clients stay happy! So a BIG thank you and welcome to SHOOTDOTEDIT!

Here is a super interesting chart that was on Shootdotedit’s blog that I thought I should share with you all who think being a wedding photographer is just one BIG party… Here is what most people think of wedding photographers….

These graphs come from…International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers.

THE REALITY IS…..

But now with Shootdotedit I will be able to take out 38.9% of that out of the pie and put towards things like… sleep, eat, play with my daughter, teach her, make dinner, BE HUMAN! So being a photographer is NOT for the faint of heart it takes a LOT of time and dedication and I am SUPPPPPEEERRR Thankful I have found Shootdotedit to get my life back!!
