Their sign in book was Dr. Seuss’ “Oh, the places You’ll Go!”, which I thought was such a fun idea since they were planning on returning to the mission feild.

They also asked guests to bring recipes, so cleaver for newlyweds esp. if they haven’t cooked a lot or if they are foodies!

The vase on the left was full of spoons, not sure the story behind that, but it looked pretty . Then the two ladies in purple I know both of them the one on the farthest right is Hannah, she used to be my photography assistant.

So Derek wanted to carry Abby on his back on the way out, he wanted to walk through the fountain and jump in it, but instead he fell! Getting Abby and himself TOTALLY SOAKED! But they laughed it off and changed clothes.

Ok back to Horseshoe Bay Resort, SERIOUSLY if you are having a wedding this century you should consider this place! They work with just about any budget and their grounds are SOOO Beautiful as you will see shortly.

Also we had Visual Lyrics come out for the floral and rentals, they have a new line of rentals called Vintique Rentals. They will be renting vintage dishes, the chairs you see in the photos, the rustic table and bench in the photo as well. They also did all the awesome sea shell bouquets and centerpieces! SIMPLY STUNNING!

Then Catering with a Twist came all the way out as well to showcase their new seafood menu which looks AWESOME! Sushi, Scallop salad then a Paella! YES PLEASE!

Last but not least the wonderful Fine Arts Bakery, Patti Wright. She used to own her own bakery years ago but focused on raising her family and following other passions. Now she is back and get ready to be stunned by her creativity! Also Thank you Jen Bertrand for being such a BEAUTIFUL model for us! Also Trisha Coker for coming all the way from Memphis, Tennessee to shoot with me (ok and go to a Dance competition but still you came out to shoot and that is awesome!)

So our super sweet “Mermaid” costume came from Lucy in Disguise in Austin. It was actually a piece of a mermaid costume and then with the help of the accesories counter and the costume dept. we were able to pair it with a super sweet gold sequined corset!

Visual Lyrics created this awesome shell hairpiece. Visual Lyrics is SOOOO creative I just know every time I work with her she is going to KNOCK it out of the park with their creativity!

Before you get too jealous of our super hot model she is wearing false eyelashes. Not like that really helps I still hate her, she is soooo freaking beautiful! Ok I don’t hate her just admire her beauty a heck of a lot!

This is one of the things that Visual Lyrics will be renting, a Macrame shell curtain that would be perfect for a ceremony backdrop or the backdrop for a cake etc.

Ok seriously get a load of this tablescape by Visual Lyrics! OMG STUNNING! Trisha of Visual Lyrics took a vintage umbrella and stripped it of it’s fabric and put giant leaves in it’s place, GENUIS!

Visual Lyrics also created several centerpieces from shells!

So here is the fun cake that Fine Arts Bakery created for our shoot! It was based off a dress that we put on our pinterest board. Not the one we used for the shoot but a different one. And I think it was a PERFECT fit for our wedding fashion shoot!

The cake had an ombre effect that was STUNNING! The detail on this cake was phenominal! I mean really!? Check out those cookies!

So Fine Arts Bakery specializes in cookies and she creates one of a kind pieces of art on a cookie. For instance she will paint a Picasso on a cookie or any other art that you can think of. Which would make such a wonderful favor for your guests OR an extra gift for your bridesmaids. ORRRR a super sweet gift for your husband the day of your wedding. I remember hearing “The quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!” She also can do Gluten Free options as well you can ask her about that as well!

Onto the food! Catering with a Twist did such an amazing job! You should contact them for your wedding they are so creative you will be so glad you did!

Isn’t this the CUTEST little boy blowing bubbles! I just ADORE his seersucker suit!

They gave them argyle socks to match their seersucker suits! They had these cute lemonade cocktails available for guests before the wedding, it was a little hot outside but NOTHING like our current heat wave! I was joking the other day that anyone that has an outside wedding in August in Texas must just hate their guests. Then a friend of mine said that if his fiance wanted to get married now he would just wear the vest, bowtie, and pants that come with the suit (no shirt or jacket LOL!). Needless to say I am sure their wedding guests appreciated this lemon cocktail before their beautiful wedding!

Yes the food was AMAZING!

OMG this was the CUTEST thing I have EVER seen at a wedding! They had these kids sing a special song for the bride and groom! And the little boy at the top was off key and SOOOOO adorably loud too! I have took a video of him too that shows the end of the song and then he pulls his shirt up and rubs his belly LOL!!! SOOOOOO CUTE

As you can see the bride got a KICK out of the song! As did EVERYONE within earshot of these little sweeties!

A photo of the whole family! I think this was BEFORE the dogs went and laid in the water and totally soaked! Luckily they didn’t shake off near Mom and Dad !

See what I was telling you, YUM!!! I also learned this night that Diana is a fellow salt lover and has her own vial of specialty salt! Where have you been all of my life Diana!!

They had a mad lib game at each place setting they were pretty funny. They had a special box for those that weren’t kid appropriate, awesome idea! The image to the right was a cocktail named “Fire in the hole” there was a shot of tequila in the jalepeno pepper! They used these to toast to.

I did half of the photo booth and this was one of the kiddos that wandered over while I was on duty It was a GREAT night! Thanks Diana for asking me to join you!

Adam Thomson (the groom) is a part of Krochet Kids International which is a company that employs people in Africa to Krochet hats and other accessories and then they sell the items in the states and then give the people who made the items fair trade price. And Kallie Dovel (the bride) co-founded 31bits with similar concept except with necklaces and bracelets. REALLY gorgeous stuff you should check it out! They met at Vangaurd Christian college and Adam was drawn to Kallie because of her surfing scar across her head from her board hitting her after falling off. They both had a passion for Africa and making a difference both of their companies started small and are now creating massive change! So onto their beautifully sweet beach wedding…

My Mother and I made all of the bouquets and boutineers. It was a ton of fun! Kallie LOVED them!

The photo above was a mural at the beach house that was on the Naval base that Kallie and Adam had their beach wedding.

The groom made this necklace for the bride, so beautiful!

These bracelets are made through 31bits they are a SUPER awesome organization that is employing and educating 100 women in Uganda to make these beautiful bracelets. Keep an eye out they are coming out with their wedding line in a couple of months! Until then check out their real gold flecked bracelets and necklaces on their website.

How awesome to have friends who are excited for you to get married!

Africa is super close to the bride and groom’s hearts, they both have companies out there employing Ugandan women to create one of a kind accessories, so that is why the bride wore this Africa bangle on her gold bracelet.

The groom dawned a new bow tie that Krochet Kids are having made by women in Uganda at fair trade price and making a difference in their lives! Keep an eye out for these super cute bow ties for your upcoming nuptials!

Adam (aka the groom) has a super rad vintage VW bus that they used to transport all of the groomsmen down to the beach as well as their getaway car!

The ladies from 31bits (the brides friends and co-founders) arranged the flowers for the tables as well as created sticks with starfish on the end and wrapped the sticks with beige muslin. Then they created more sticks with scraps of material tied onto the top for a extra splash of color. SUPER CUTE!

The bride’s family friend passed along their cake cutting knife and server. so they engraved their names and wedding date on the knife beside the other couple.

Family friends had placed bets on who would get married next. Nicole was in fact the first to get married then Kallie was next so Teresa (Kallie’s Mom) lost the bet. Not sure what the final winner will get

Such a cute reminder that more food is coming!

The mother of the groom hand stitched blankets for guests to sit on during the ceremony. The edges of them had sea shells tied on to keep them from flying away.

Father of the bride cooked all of the meat and had help from friends and family to stage and warm the food. It was delicious!

Homemade Sangria! It was a big hit! They bought over 40 bottles of wine and they were all gone by the end of the night!

Friends of the bride created these sweet flags for the reception, it added such a fun handmade touch to the metal gazebo.

The bride’s mother helps her put on her shoes, that was so sweet as that is hard wood floor she is kneeling on, nothing like a Momma’s love!

This was a SUPER awesome and sweet wedding! I LOVED the fact that they had a record made for their wedding. Not sure if there was actually music on it, Linsey was there music??

That is the Groom in the left image, with his awesome handlebar mustache! In the image to the right,

they put the record they made for their wedding on a board and had their guests write well wishes. So adorable!

So Linsey picked a bunch of different colors for her bridesmaids to wear and as you can see they pulled it off!!

Oh Mercury Hall how I love you!

Man I LOVED Linsey’s feather hair piece. Isn’t she a beautiful bride!?

Even grooms need some love from his groomsmen! LOL

Man I can’t even type some of the things these guys were saying! Hilarious and soooo wrong!

The Bride gave her bridesmaids vintage handkerchiefs such a cute gift!

The bride put these fun and GORGEOUS peacock shoe clips on her purple heels! The groomsmen

received flasks as their gift from the groom, Wranglers are the perfect hiding spot for your flask!

So the image to the right you will see in the photo below that her Dad had a similar pic with his mom when he got

married so he wanted to have a similar photo with his daughter. So precious! You can’t really see it in this size of

image but both Linsey and her Dad are crying as they walk down the aisle. OHHHH, guys don’t do this to me! I get teary eyed behind the lens

The image the Father of the Bride wanted to replicate is in the far back corner.

At least his middle finger has a smiley face on it! LOL!!!

You can tell they love to be together!

Mustaches for the photobooth? YES! Because the Groom has such a sweet handlebar mustache!

So THEY wanted the chalkboard to read “About Damn Time!” Hilarious! This was because they were dating for 10 years! TOTAL BFFFFFs!

I love how Wes the Groom turned the stick upside down and put it up to his handlebar mustache! HEY he already has one!

They had a sweet candy bar with custom stamped muslin candy bags for guests to fill! My assistant was prego

and there was a lot of candy left AND the mother of the bride said “PLEASE take as much as you can!” So what do we do? LOAD UP on candy!

You know the party is coming to an end when there is one lonely Lone Star beer in the bucket!

I thought this would be a cool shot showing the texture of the wedding dress mixed with the palm tree and the water.

I think this is THE prettiest garter I have EVER seen! It is cute and sweet without being cheesy. She got it at Victoria’s Secret little tip for future brides out there!

So Gwen works at a shoe store so of course she is a SHOE GIRL! MAD PROPS FOR THESE LOVELY LADIES!

These rocks were outside and It thought they would be a interesting and textural backdrop for the flowers.

I loved all the lines on her dress, the bench and the window. I don’t normally turn photos black and white but this one just POPPED when I switched it over.

And visually you can focus on her beauty and how all the lines work together in this shot. (At least “I” think they do)

I loved the birds in the background, added a “Ocean” feel

I have a secret trick to make everyone smile and relax a little so they don’t look like deer caught in headlights for formal pics.
