I met this couple through the 80′s wedding I shot last Dec., when it was published in The Knot magazine they saw the feature and contacted me to shoot their wedding. I am so excited for them! It is going to be a fun wedding! And they are sooooo in love it is super sweet! Oh also we shot at the Arboretum in North Austin this is where they went on their first date, to Thundercloud and Amy’s icecream. So of course we had to get some shots in Amy’s Thanks soooo much Amy’s Icecream for letting us take a couple of photos!

I love how there is a little boy outside looking in in shock “ummm um um they are kissing!”

Austin Engagement photos: Ally and Clay

My husband’s cousin suggested Ally talk with me about photographing her wedding. We met at Jo’s on second street and it was a perfect match. Ally set up the time for their engagement session using my online scheduler. We met up at Butler Park those are some gorgeous views! It was so cute I could tell where they were right off the bat as Ally had brought some red heart mylar balloons. Clay was embarassed to walk with her. At the end of this location Ally found some little girls to give the balloons too, that was so sweet of her! We had a great time of joking around and taking pictures! Thanks Ally and Clay! Looking forward to your beautiful wedding!

Ally used to row Austin Rowing Club so this dock was perfect as we were able to get further out onto the

water than the “crowed” dock (There were sooooo many photographer’s out

taking photos that EVERYONE

wanted to use the dock! We did end up going back to the crowed dock but it was about 40 min. after we got there! )

We saw this at the end and again since Ally used to row I thought

it was funny and they chuckled at it too.

Gwen and Eman are a super sweet couple! Gwen is the manager at Aldo’s in the mall. It was funny cause right before meeting her I got new Aldo shoes, headband and wallet and she noticed them all. Sharp eye So here is their much anticipated engagement photos…

Austin engagement photos: Pillow fight, flour fight, nintendo fight! Nicole and Aaron.

So after the super fab Film Noir sesh that you saw yesterday now for the FIGHTS. Nicole it would be fun to have a pillow fight, flour fight, and nintendo fight! Couples are suppose to fight, it’s ok it is allllll about fighting fair though! So here is to years of fair and FUN fighting

But then you kiss and make up! I let them clean up I am gluten intolerant AND allergic to cats I couldn’t stop sneezing on the way home! It was a super fun time though!

Austin engagement photos Part One: Film Noir session of Nicole and Aaron

Some of you might recognize this adorable couple! I photographed some engagement pics about two years ago of the two. They were adorable shots at the Belmont and in a field outside his grandma’s house. Well they are getting married in about 2 weeks!!! YAY!!! Well Nicole asked if we could do another session in the style of Film Noir, OF COURSE I was GAME! So this is the result of this fun session! So stay tuned tomorrow for the second part of this session which includes a baking fight, pillow fight and super nintendo fight! Until then enjoy these super fun images based on the theme : Film Noir… “I think there is a man with a gun in the other room….”

Just your typical Film Noir Night , Appletinis, pipe, cat… UNTIL….

Nicole- Did you see anything? Aaron- No sweetie I think we are fine….

Aaron- But just in case let’s go check the stairwell….

Aaron- You are a pretty swell lady! Nicole- Your a pretty dapper man!

Nicole- Well I should probably get home to report my findings. Aaron- Great well I think I should join you just in case that man shows up again.

Aaron- Did you tell them that you saw a shadow of a man holding a gun?

Nicole- Thank you for keeping me company! Aaron- I just want to make sure you are safe.

HAHAHA I know I am a dork! But it was pretty cute though you have to admit! Can’t wait for your wedding guys!

Austin Engagement photos: Megan Newman and Jerry Wise

So I have known Megan for a while now and she is one of the SWEEEEETEST people you will meet! She is also the most GORGEOUS person I may ever see in person! So when I heard that she was getting married I was a little skeptical, is this guy good enough?? Then I met Jerry in person at our shoot, Holy COW is he awesome! He leads worship and is a musician by trade! You can listen to his music here. So not only does he have the whole musician thing going for him he also has the looks department down and get this is SOOO SWEEET! He is such an AMAZING match for Megan and loves her soooo much. So enjoy this beautiful couples photos!

Before the shots above Megan said “Yeah we like vandalism”. Which is awesome cause I like breakin’ the law! Just kidding! Oh and the fist in the air shot is in response to people walking by whistling at Megan. He got himself a keeper!

AHHH man I wish I could SAVOR this pizza but it is not possible for me anymore now that I have found out that I am gluten intolerant. “Your killing me her Smalls!”- Sandlot. P.s. I can’t eat your wedding cake either so thanks for the offer but it will make me sick

Austin Engagement photos- Downtown Austin

I met Kenitres over the phone and we had a WONDREFUL conversation about her and her wonderful fiance. It went so well that she booked me the next day! So I KNEW when they came in to town we were going to have a BLAST! And we did! Keni (which she told me to call her at the first location maybe 10 min. after meeting her!:) said that she had been following my work for a while and that she was so nervous about the session she was feeling sick. But we all ended up having each other cracking up in between shots and during at some points too! It made for a GREAT engagement session! It was so awesome to meet the two of you and to be able to photograph the love and beauty of your relationship! They live in Dallas but are planning on moving to Austin! So feel free to leave comments on why you LOVE Austin (No Austin haters allowed, we need more awesome people like these guys here and I will delete your comment if you are bashing Austin- cause I can ) and what are some of your favorite things to do and see. I kept telling them all about the resturants in the Soco area cause I was RIDICOUSLY HUNGRY- note to self bring a apple (or a piece of bamboo, Garden State anyone??).

Keni bought Republic jeans for both of them to wear to the shoot so she wanted a shot of the back so you could see they were wearing the same kind. I think it is pretty awesome how you can see her awesome GREEN engagement stone!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the green pumps with skinny jeans!!

Georgetown engagement photos- sneek preview!

Hey everyone this is my brother with his new fiance! EEEKKKK aren’t they soooo cute together! So I am putting up a SNEEK peek for them to see their adorableness more to come!!

So they love Mad Men the show so what better way to portray them than to dress up in Mad Men clothes. P.s. they already had these clothes in their closet! I know my brother is cool I taught him everything he knows HA HA HA. As for the soon to be sister in law her awesomeness is her own doing (with the help of Tawny Tyler for hair and Maris Malone Calderon for makeup.

Then Misty LOVES cars and happened to have a mechanic’s shirt with her name on it! So we set up a scene where Joe “broke down” Misty’s mini coupe and she is fixing it! It is so super cute I will share more of those with everyone soon! We also took some infront of a vintage mini and THEN as we were packing up there was a 20′s restore model T looking car!!! So I will show them PROMISE this is just a peek for now stay tuned….

Austin engagement photos- at Roadhouse Relics

So I LOVE when a couple has a location in mind! It keeps me from going to the same places everytime! So Kassie called up Roadhouse Relics and they were able to set up an appointment for an hour worth of shooting. It was AWESOME! Oh also go all the way to the end to see a vintage Mercedes! It is SWEEET actually it is called “Big Slick!”

Austin Engagement photos: Amanda and Kyle

So we couldn’t have pleaded the weather man for a better day that day! It was suppose to be hot and raining! But instead it was breezy and nice. Amanda and Kyle you guys did such a GREAT job posing for me and laughing at my corny jokes! The best part of the day that still makes me laugh is our LAST shot “Blue Steel”. They kept doing this pose throughout the day just being silly with each other. Then we were wrapping up and Kyle was doing the face while Amanda was working her cute face in the best possible way. Instead of getting mad she joined in the fun and we then ended with the greatest “Blue Steel” photo EVER in my humble opinion! I hope you enjoy these photos! (ahh man I didn’t put my logo on these but if you steal them and put them on my site Kyle will come beat you up!- Right Kyle?
