Let it SNOW!

December 31, 2009

So some of you might be asking- where did Jessica go to? Did she drop off the face of the earth? I haven’t heard from her in almost two weeks. Well I went to Colorado with my family for a family reunion. I was staying at my Great Grandmother’s house so therefore no internet connection. So now here is our trip in blog form! I hope you enjoy! Oh also for the most part if it doesn’t have my logo look for the info on who took it, either Daniel my husband or Joe my brother. Daniel took some really AMAZING snow pictures that if you want to have one printed let me know and we can work something out :)

The photo above was taken by my husband Daniel: the cool thing is if you look on my cap you can see the individual snowflakes, I loved looking

at the individual snowflakes on my black jacket! They really do look like everyone draws them on cards and wrapping paper etc. So pretty!

Photo by my bro- Joe Wright, good job! :)

My Dad riding down a slope in the front yard of my Aunt’s house to show Bella how to slide :)

Bella gives it a try and loves it!

Bella and Joe went down the hill together and Joe held onto her like a GOOOOOD uncle! Halfway down the hill he came off the sled!

Bella laying in the snow after her big run on the “mountain” hill.

Sophie and Bella playing in the snow (Sophie is a 2nd cousin of mine so 3rd to Bella? I don’t know but she is cute! Although I think Bella wasn’t

old enough/cool enough to play with Sophie most of the time :) It gave Bella a chance to learn that not EVERY little kid will want to play

with you all the time.

Boy band photo of my family- starting left going right, Dad, brother Joe, Daniel hubs. Oh and Bella being pulled on the sled behind Joe (hiding).

Daniel tubing down a hill at the Reunion and hitting an unexpected bump! :)

Daniel and me sledding down a hill at my family Reunion- good times!

We took my 2nd Cousin Randy’s truck back because we didn’t feel like walking uphill both ways in the snow! :)

Nothing like hot chocolate after a day of SNOW!

The top photo: My Aunt Debbie told Bella that the dinosaurs were tickling each other :) .

Daniel cowering in “Terror” from the dino bones!

Gluten free bakery in Colorado

We went to Old Arvada’s Gluten Free bakery- Rheiander it was AMAZING!!

They had a gluten free chocolate covered twinkie that was AMAZING!!

We got cakes to celebrate my Mom and Daniel’s birthday which are both in Dec.

Later we celebrated my Dad’s b-day too! December is BUSY for us! :)

“Meaty” my cousin Ross and his fiance Jillian’s English bulldog- he was so cute! And REALLY LOVED me! :) So much that he wanted me to

have his puppies! :)

Bella’s first time to bowl! Everytime we go to Colorado for Christmas we go bowling on Christmas Eve.

I kind of like that tradition! Bella LOVED it! She had a lot of fun!

Driving with a three year old is fun! Especially when your husband is sitting on the arm

rest/console for an hour since there is a TON of luggage in the back.

One hour drive like this what else am I going to do to pass the time- HELLO! :)

We had to drive to the other part of Denver to visit the other side of the family.

Bella coloring with my great grandma- her great great grandma!!!

My brother Joe reading an Elmo book to Bella since we couldn’t figure out how to work the tv. Which was awesome! :)

Bella eating cheesecake from my Dad’s b-day party! GREAT ribs Dad! We should open a restruant! :)

Eco kids craft step one

So as I am completing more weddings to share with my brides and you guys, Bella and I took a little art break. I saw this project here… Eco kids craft I can’t wait for them to dry and be able to create an awesome masterpiece above our BIG blank wall above our new awesome blue couch! Oh also I am including a photo I took from our balcony! I love achitechture and downtown Austin! I LOVE THIS TOWN! So this first pic is step one of our art project… painting and drying. :) (Yes I let Bella paint these by herself, I have been letting go and letting her actually create art on her own and letting go of the notion that it has to be perfect and created by me, so all I did was help her wash her brush and take off all the toilet paper scraps from the roll :)

downtown from my balcony

I was working the other night and as the sun was setting it cast this gorgeous orange glow on all the buildings so OF COURSE I grabbed my camera. I am looking forward to all the construction to be done so the cranes will be out of the downtown photos :) .

So Wednesday night i was SICK! I don’t know how I got it but I lost 15 lbs from being so sick! I went to the Dr. Thursday to see if he could prescribe me some ant-nausea medicine. Because I wasn’t even keeping down water! When I was there they took my blood pressure 4 times! They said that it was VERY low! I normally have a low blood pressure but it was 78/78 average is 120/80! So they told me to go to the ER to get fluids put back into my system since I had lost so much from being so sick. They ened up giving me 2 liters of IV fluids. The nurse said that my body sucked it up pretty quickly. To get the iv put into place I asked for their best “poker” as when I am dehydrated my veins get small and roll (how do I know this? I used to do scientific studies before I amped up my photography buisness- a lot safer! :) . She had a hard time finding a good vein and with me already feeling bad I knew this wasn’t a good combonation. So she gave me a medicine “cocktail” of anti-nausea, pain killer, and soft tissue pain killer (so she could get the needle in). She said my blood was THICK and not flowing properly so she could tell right away that I NEEDED to be there! About 5 mins. later I was doing AMAZING! She turned off the lights and I was actually able to take a nap! Then I was discharged. Went home and started the process of eating chicken broth and fruit popsicicles.  I am doing much better now, still weak and tired but I am pulling through. Thankfully my husband was able to be with me yesterday during all of that and he has helped nurse me back to health. So all that to say when the flowers have faded and the wedding is in a book, LOVE is what lasts! I don’t know how I would have made it through all that without him!

My Vow renewal

November 22, 2009

So one day whether it is at our 7 yr. anniversary or 10yr. (right now we are at 4 going on 5) we want to renew our vows on the beach. I was looking at random design blogs and found this Valentino dress that I want to have a SUPER awesome seemstress here in Austin re-create. Wouldn’t this be beautiful draging in the sand and jumping into the ocean??

Tonight I got to shoot the Rags to wags ball where the dogs from the humane society dress up and put on a dog fashion show and then they have a live and silent auction to raise money for the humane society. It was awesome the dogs were very well behaved and sweet! They were able to raise $25,000 in 2.5 min!!!! That wasn’t all they raised in the night either! It is late so I am going to go to bed but I wanted to let you guys see some of the funnest shots from the night. I would also like to say a HUGE thank you to Precision Camera for donating rental lenses for the night! Thanks for helping me photograph these adorable little guys!!
