So As some of you know I LOOOOOOVE Pinterest, (For those of you who don’t know what this site is all about, GET READY for AMAZINGNESS!!! Basically it is a collection of online style boards you create. You can look for things all throughout the internet and “pin” them onto your board everything from super fun crafts for kids to inspiration for your wedding!!) You can visit my boards here…Jessica Monnich on Pinterest I have 4151 pins right now and still going so go check them out there are a lot of fun wedding stuff on there too! This website has helped me to come up with fun projects that I am going to be giving my family as Christmas presents. So tonight I was particularly inspired by this pin… http://pinterest.com/pin/127367495681058619/ and this one…http://pinterest.com/pin/127367495681058624/. I had a tie dye shirt that I didn’t really like the way it looked on me so I threw it into the pile of other tie dye shirts that I had been given to me by a sweet lady that I shop for on occasion (she is parapaleghic, had her legs amputated below her knees from a rare blood disease, THE SWEEEEETEST lady ever!). She gave me the shirts for Bella but they were all a little too big for her and I would have had to hang onto them for at least 10 years before they did. SO instead I cut them into pieces to make her this skirt. The base of the skirt was the shirt that I used to wear, the ruffles are from 4 different shirts the sweet lady gave to me and they are only in the front. I asked Bella if she thought I should make them go all the way around and she thought it was pretty fun that they were only in the front. (Bella thinks I am making it for another little girl, but it is for her, SHHHHHHHHH. She kept asking if she could keep it I also knew she really wanted it when she wouldn’t stop posing for the camera and spinning in it.) So here is the skirt…..
Can’t wait to show you all the other gifts I made for my family for Christmas using the rest of the tie dye shirts (one of which I am going to give the sweet lady that gave the tie dye shirts to me in the first place)!!
