I thought I should let you all know that I am throwing in the towel for shooting weddings. There are a lot of reasons but the main one is that I have kids and they are only young once. Other people may scoff but that is ok because I don’t live my life for other people. I have to make sure that my family is taken care of and I didn’t feel like this was happening while being a wedding photographer. I also didn’t see much progress and felt like I was SHOVING doors open to make anything happen. So right now I am being a Mom, soul searching and trying to tap into every aspect of my creativity. BUT if you still want family photos, birthday photos, Christmas photos etc I would be more than happy to help you as these are MUCH shorter time commitments than a weddings. I may or may not ever do weddings again but I did love doing them and will give my full heart to the last two that I will be shooting. If you would like to follow our new adventure in crafting and kid related fun you can check out my new blog here… Enjoytodaymomma.blogspot.com (working on being a full time blogger with this new blog we will see where it goes). Thank you for all your love and support over the years!

Austin portrait photographer: Christine and ScottJanuary 6th, 2013Christine is a bright soul! She is always laughing or cracking a joke. Her red hair and sweet spirit make me wonder if my girls will end up something like her. If they do in the slightest I will be happy! She is such a good friend too! Christine is a bright soul! She is always laughing or cracking a joke. Her red hair and sweet spirit make me wonder if my girls will end up something like her. If they do in the slightest I will be happy! She is such a good friend too! One of those that if you don’t talk for a while and then hang out again it is like you saw each other yesterday! So I got the scoop on her new beau while taking photos and he is super sweet and so good for her. Looking forward to what the future holds!

. Really they just wanted more time and honestly if you are going to do two hours splitting it up into two sessions , which is what I do now (one hour engagement session), is a GREAT idea! Mainly because your “smiler” gets a little tired by the second hour. This couple is super sweet and I look forward to photographing their beautiful wedding in July! (Don’t worry about me being prego I have a GREAT assistant that has worked over 15 weddings with me, Sarah, she is awesome!) So here are the images from their fabulous session…

I met this couple through the 80′s wedding I shot last Dec., when it was published in The Knot magazine they saw the feature and contacted me to shoot their wedding. I am so excited for them! It is going to be a fun wedding! And they are sooooo in love it is super sweet! Oh also we shot at the Arboretum in North Austin this is where they went on their first date, to Thundercloud and Amy’s icecream. So of course we had to get some shots in Amy’s Thanks soooo much Amy’s Icecream for letting us take a couple of photos!
I love how there is a little boy outside looking in in shock “ummm um um they are kissing!”

My husband’s cousin suggested Ally talk with me about photographing her wedding. We met at Jo’s on second street and it was a perfect match. Ally set up the time for their engagement session using my online scheduler. We met up at Butler Park those are some gorgeous views! It was so cute I could tell where they were right off the bat as Ally had brought some red heart mylar balloons. Clay was embarassed to walk with her. At the end of this location Ally found some little girls to give the balloons too, that was so sweet of her! We had a great time of joking around and taking pictures! Thanks Ally and Clay! Looking forward to your beautiful wedding!
Ally used to row Austin Rowing Club so this dock was perfect as we were able to get further out onto the
water than the “crowed” dock (There were sooooo many photographer’s out
taking photos that EVERYONE
wanted to use the dock! We did end up going back to the crowed dock but it was about 40 min. after we got there! )
We saw this at the end and again since Ally used to row I thought
it was funny and they chuckled at it too.
