I am trying to catch up on some personal posts that I have been wanting to share with you all for a while. I am going to start out with a photo session we did while I was pregnant more than two months ago (in case you didn’t see them on my Facebook page)! Just in case you are wondering I gave birth to a healthy baby girl in October!! My next post will be our birth story then some newborn photos so stay tuned!! These photos were done by a good photographer friend of mine Liz of Ejayne photography. I have never really been a fan of naked prego photos so that was one of the first things that I told Liz was I wasn’t going to be removing any clothing. HA HA HA! Plus being a plus size woman I will just spare the world that picture! I honestly was fully prepared to break out the photoshop skills on these photos to make me look 20lbs thinner, but I didn’t! Pretty sure I ended up with a combo of the awesome skills of Liz and finally coming to a place of loving my body and where I am at the moment. I am soooo thankful that this time around I only gained 30lbs which I have lost already (I gained 70lbs with my first daughter!) I think having my thyroid under control helped TREMENDOUSLY this time around! As with my first I literally slept allllllll day! Anyway it was such a fun shoot! I had a lot of fun planning it out and creating fun DIY projects. Fine Arts Bakery created the WONDERFUL cookies for the shoot that were sooooo us! Hopefully our session will inspire you to think of ways to personalize your session. I also love photographing pregnant women so feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested. Thanks again Liz and Fine Arts Bakery!
I made this “cake stand” by melting records in the oven and then when they cooled gluing clear candlesticks to the middle and bottom. I also made the fun quilt below for our new baby. I came up with the pattern, Bella helped me lay out the pieces it was a lot of fun to make!
These records spell out our baby’s name and again I replaced the labels with one that I made up on the computer. I just painted on letters of her name to the records. It is now hanging above her crib and she LOOOOOOVES to look at them!
WE love music! Daniel plays guitar (as well as several other instruments) and sings, I also play and sing but he is a lot better than I am!! But I am still pretty decent I wrote a few pretty awesome songs a couple years ago I just need to break my writer’s block. Maybe I will read Artist’s Way again, such an awesome book!
They have such a sweet relationship! I LOOOVE it! She loves her Daddy and he loves her can’t get better than that!
We also LOVE books! When Bella was a baby she NEVER tore a page of a book! Because books are special and we respect them as well as read them.
Our nerotic dog Lucy! She is Bella’s bestfriend and if she wasn’t I think Daniel might have killed her several times. HA HA HA not really. She is so much her best friend that she calls her “my stister” aka sister (well now she can say it properly but when she was younger this is what she would say).
Sooooo many of these I need to BLOW up and frame! I have the cutest family in the whole wide world!
Can I just say I have such a handsome and sweet husband! And we make flipping cute babies!!
I put black glitter on the tips of these shoes. I loved them for this shoot but after the shoot it started peeling off and I found out that Daniel hated them. Sometimes I ignore his “fashion” comments but this time since they were peeling I just got rid of them.
Libby has worn these and they are sooooo adorable on! She is going to wear them for Christmas too and I NEEEEEED to get some photos of my two girls in their dresses because they look AMAZING!
I love this dog so much! If she ran away or was hurt beyond repair I would loose it for at least a day!
He really is! The other day I was talking to my Grandma and she told me that my grandpa NEVER changed a single diaper in his life! WHAT!? How times have changed I think I would loose my mind if I didn’t have Daniel’s help! I am soooooooooo thankful for him! That day my grandma also said “You really have a gem” and I couldn’t agree with her more!
Didn’t Fine Arts Bakery do an amazing job with the cookies!?
This is the Label I came up with for the records, totally made up and not at all what is on the record!
So as you see we had a lot of fun and Liz and Fine Arts Bakery did an AMAZING job!
